Ever find the perfect shirt only to realize that either the sleeves are too long, shoulders too small or it parachutes at the waist? For me, it’s always the proportion of shoulder room to sleeve length. I always get one area to fit only to have the other be too small or too big.
Just last week I found the perfect shirt for an upcoming wedding. It fit perfectly on my shoulders but the sleeves were way too puffy and it was way too large around my waist. I decided to take my friend’s advice and go to her tailor — who turned out to be WAY too pricey. That being said, he worked a miracle and tailored the shirt to fit like it was custom made.
Here are some shots of the shirt both dressed up and dressed down.
I’ll definitely be visiting the tailor again — but only for pieces that I’ll keep for years to come.
