Baby shower = success!

Thanks to Mel, Sarah, and my amazing boyfriend, we were able to pull off an amazing baby shower for my friend Belanie!

Everyone had an amazing time and everything came out amazingly. Sticking to a color theme proved to be successful — everything matched without being overly thematic.

The cheer in the glass for me was definitely the pom-champagne punch (thanks to beau) and Mel’s cupcake tower.

I’m definitely not signing up for another shower anytime soon — but I definitely feel prepared for the next time I do.

Baby shower weekend!

So excited for Sunday to come around. I’ll be making Pomegranate-Champagne Punch for everyone to chug sip on.

I’ll also be using my new footed beverage jar — definitely a great investment, especially if you’re always making drinks for large parties.

More baby shower details to come!

It was DIY-Night tonight.

My friend Mel and I are in charge of my friend’s baby shower, which is coming up in March. As soon as I learned this I went Pinterest crazy and starting searching for party ideas. One of the projects includes frosting flower vases.

My boyfriend and I ran around today looking for all of the supplies. We had a great time frosting — and probably got a little high from the fumes.

The vases came out GREAT. We definitely learned some tricks — such as going with electric tape and forgoing the rubber bands.

We’ve decided to do at least one project each weekend leading up to the shower. I’ll keep you posted on our progress.
